HIIT is simple.

HIIT is an insanely effective form of full-body exercise that uses powerful, short and intense bursts of energy followed by shorter periods of rest to torch fat and build lean muscle mass. In as little as 12 minutes a day, you can burn three times as much fat as running at a steady pace for an hour. This is because the amped-up periods of anaerobic activity followed by minimal periods of rest force your fatty acids to convert into fuel cells, causing your body to expend more energy not only while you are exercising, but 24 hours after. When you load up for resistance bearing HIIT, you up the ante even more, expending more energy and breaking down those muscle fibres to grow back stronger and more powerful.
